01 / The starting point
A familiar routine. A fair amount of skepticism.
East Tennessee Sprinkler had performed safety light and fire extinguisher inspections for years. The monthly routine was well established: one technician spent 14 days completing the work.
When Chris introduced HeadCount, the technicians thought a new system would slow them down. The work was familiar, and they had a process that they already knew.
02 / In the field
The same inspections. Four fewer days.
About two months in, one technician told Chris, “I think this might work, Chris. I think it just might work.” The change was becoming useful in the day-to-day work.
That same monthly inspection work now takes one technician 10 days. For East Tennessee Sprinkler, that means four field days saved every month on this recurring inspection work.
03 / After the inspection
The report no longer becomes another job.
The old process continued at the office: handling paper reports, entering results into spreadsheets, and uploading them to Dropbox. HeadCount removed those steps for this inspection work.
The inspection and reporting now happen entirely in HeadCount, and the customer receives the report automatically. The office only needs to send the invoice.
The technicians’ reaction has changed, too. When they visit a building that does not use HeadCount, they now ask:
